In most homes, a lack of wall insulation can result in up to 25% of your total heat loss.
We all know that installing insulation will give you a warmer, drier house but did you know that it will also provide the added benefit of reducing unwanted noise via acoustic insulation?
Our CosyWall Insulation can be installed as acoustic insulation into both exterior and interior walls to reduce the impact of your neighbour’s early morning lawn mowing or a family member’s snoring.
Sound Transmission Class (STC) ratings measure how much sound reduction a product provides. The higher the STC rating, the better. Our Wall Insulation system is estimated to improve the STC rating of a 90mm timber framed wall with Gib board either side from an STC of 34 to 39.
To give you an idea of the significance of this, an STC of 34 means that loud speech can be easily heard, while an STC of 39 reduces loud speech to an undecipherable murmur. Reductions of up to 8dB are possible in some situations.
Does heavy rain on a tin roof keep you awake at night? Ceiling insulation can significantly deaden the noise.
Do you live in a multi story house? The sound of people clomping around overhead can be so irritating. But help is at hand with CosyWall Insulation, which can be installed into the mid-floor to reduce unwanted noise.
Whether you are building a new house or are looking at retro-fitting an existing house we can provide an acoustic insulation solution that will add value to you house and give all your family members the privacy they deserve.
